Heirloom Acres Farm in Orangevale has announced its U-pick flower dates for July and August.
The family-owned suburban farm will be open for flower picking on the last three weekends in July (July 16–17, 23–24 and 30–31) and August (Aug. 13–14, 20–21 and 27–28). Tickets are $35 and give you a 1-hour window to cut all the flowers you can fit into a large bucket provided by the farm.
Heirloom Acres grows more than 40 varieties of cut flowers, including zinnias, strawflowers, asters and rudbeckias. It runs U-pick events through September.
