My Favorite Brut Rosé’s Under $25

Oh my goodness! Brut Rosé: A Love Story. I have been gushing about my love of bubbly on Instagram for years, and if you’ve been around, then you know that brut rose has a special place in my heart. I’m often asked for wine suggestions over DM or with texts from friends, so it’s about time that I share a round up of some of my favorite brut rose’s.

Now, these are my tried and true, ordered or purchased numerous times favorites. And guess what? They are all under $25! One is even under $10. Each listed may have some similarities but they all give the palate a different experience.

I don’t believe in waiting for a special occasion to pop open a bottle of wine, and definitely not a bottle of bubbly. There are so many ways you can keep your wine fresh so that you don’t have to enjoy it all on the same day or (as I cringe and type this) it goes to waste. I’ve linked some accessories to help below, but let’s continue with the rosé! I have the same feeling about wine pairings.

While I’ve included some pairing suggestions with each brut rose, don’t feel the pressure to do so! These are all fabulous on their own. If you want to get fancy and have some fun exploring different pairings, do that, but pulling up with only a glass is perfect.

GRAHAM BECK BRUT ROSE

AVERAGE PRICE: $18.99

If someone asked me about my number one favorite, I would say Graham Beck brut rose without hesitation. It stole the top spot in 2018 when Fizz Champagne Bar opened in Sacramento and has been holding it down for me ever since. It’s zippy, dry and refreshing — and perfect for every occasion. It’s an incredible value and puts wines double the price to shame. This brut rose is made with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from South Africa. The terroir of the land is so similar to that of Champagne, France that this wine is made in the traditional method.

It has notes of fresh lavender and cherry and is perfect for every situation. Seriously. But, if I have to choose, I’m going to say a your favorite cheese board, halibut and even fried chicken!

P.S. I know we’re talking about brut rosé right now, but their brut is pretty spectacular, too.

LA VIEILLE FERME RESERVE ROSE

AVERAGE PRICE: $13.99

It’s another one of those “I enjoyed it at…” wines because prior to my experience with some oysters at a restaurant, I had only enjoyed their still rosé. I mean, it’s a go-to for any rose fan and I’m here to tell you, the La Vieille Ferm reserve brut rose is going to be, too!

It is made of Grenache, Pinot Noir and Cinsault grapes and has hints of raspberry, citrus rounded out with the essence of peach. This is a French brut rose you can sip on its own, and if you’re feeling fancy, pair it with chilled seafood and desserts.

SEGURA VIUDAS BRUT ROSE

AVERAGE PRICE: $8.99

You are not going to see the body on this one coming since it’s an under $10 sparkling wine, but you’re going to be glad that you’re experiencing it! The Segura Viudas brut rose is a super enjoyable Spanish cava made of Trepat grapes and pairs well with vegetables and fish steaks. But, that doesn’t mean that you can’t just enjoy a glass. The bright pink color and aromas of red berries make this brut rose delightful.

MCBRIDE SISTERS BRUT ROSE

AVERAGE PRICE: $17.99

Yes, let’s talk about this Black woman-owned winery! Maybe you’ve seen their other wines like Black Girl Magic? I knew about the McBride Sister for years but I didn’t know about their brut rose until this spring! I loved it so much I included it in my first brand shoot of 2020. It’s truly a delight and another zippy wine to add to your list.

The McBride Sisters brut rose is light bodied with floral notes and berry essence and is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes. The grapes are sustainably grown in the wine region of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.

SCHRAMSBERG MIRABELLE BRUT ROSE

AVERAGE PRICE: $24.99

You’re never going to believe where I found this one. It was at Costco a couple of Christmases ago and I was intrigued because I love a Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs and hadn’t heard of their Mirabelle label before. If you’re wondering the difference, Mirabelle is Schramsberg’s non-vintage line of wines, which means it comes at a lower price point, but the quality isn’t sacrificed at all.

Mirabelle brut rose is made of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the cooler climate of the North Coast of California. Enjoy this one with pastas (may I suggest my friend Jocelyn’s Cajun linguine?), cheeses and your grilled favorites.
