After touring the winery and learning more about the process, I was thrilled to visit the LangeTwins tasting room. I fell in love with a few different LangeTwins varietals over the holidays, so it was truly a full circle moment. Tastings are available Tuesday-Sunday and are by appointment only. You’re able to curate your experience onsite by choosing a designated wine flight, building your own or you can enjoy a bottle with friends. There’s also the option to book a full winery tour and tasting.
I opted for a build-your-own wine flight, kicking off with the Aglianico Rosé. From there I enjoyed several of their reds including a unique opportunity to try two Cabernets made the same year from vineyards that are a few miles apart from one another. The comparison tasting blew my mind. While they’re the same varietal and both delicious, they tasted completely different because of the microclimates. Those are the experiences that I love to have when wine tasting in Lodi. The region is very approachable yet the wines are superior, and LangeTwins is no exception.
My tasting was capped with a visit to the barrel room, where we got a peek at some aging wines and even some predictions on how they’ll taste once bottled.
